The Grammy-nominated feature from Banger Films and director Sam Dunn includes an interlude that finds the group’s classic line up Billy Gibbons. The album was recorded in connection with the band’s wildly popular and critically lauded 2019 Netflix documentary That Little Ol’ Band From Texas.
"He's adding a great bit of enthusiasm," Gibbons enthused. ZZ Top have announced a new LP titled RAW. In a recent interview, Gibbons credited Francis, who was the band's longtime guitar tech and Hill's handpicked replacement, for breathing new life into ZZ Top. "That's not a glue-on beard, either!" Gibbons joked during the band introductions. Elwood Francis, who joined the band after the July 2021 death of longtime bassist Dusty Hill, proved to be a perfect fit in terms of both music and facial hair. Along with ZZ Tops upcoming 11-track live album titled Raw, comes a new version of Brown Sugar accompanied by a music video.
